Barefaced Skincare Review: Worth the Money?

Skincare can be expensive but also effective so today I’m reviewing a few products from Barefaced Skincare to help you decide if it’s worth the splurge. Barefaced Skincare was founded by Jordan Harper, an NP and skincare educator. I originally started following her on social media for skincare education before she started her Barefaced line of products. She offers a lot of knowledge that is helpful if you’re looking to better your skin and gain an understanding of how it all works.

I ordered the Barefaced Toning Pads and Barefaced Tinted Protection SPF 50+ towards the beginning of COVID in 2020 when the product line was fairly new with completely different packaging than it is today. You could say the OG days?! It’s three years later and I am still using these regularly so I guess you could say, yes I really love these products! Let’s take a deeper dive.

Review: Barefaced Toning Pads

In the beginning, the Toning Pads may take a little getting used to for your skin. It’s normal to see a little redness in the beginning, and best to introduce them starting with a few days a week gradually. Once your skin can tolerate them, you can start increasing the frequency. The toning pads are great for tackling clogged pores, uneven skin texture (I saw a huge difference with this), and increases penetration of skincare products. It’s packed with acids, antioxidants, and calming ingredients. To get more out of them, you can cut each sheet in half to make them last longer. After I use them on my face, I apply the remaining product to my chest and underarms. After using these, you can take it up a notch and graduate to the Toning Pads II.

Review: Barefaced Toning Pads II

The Toning Pads II are a step up from the Toning Pads with a higher concentration of acids, resulting in an ‘even glowier glow,’ according to Barefaced’s website. I recommend starting with the Toning Pads and working your way up to these. Once you’re using these you’ll be at the point of already seeing all the benefits and maintaining them. Each jar comes with 60 pads so depending on use, they should last you!

Overall, for the two different types of Toning Pads I think the value, product, and pricing are 100% worth it! I can see a true difference on my skin. There’s a reason both have such amazing reviews!

Review: BAREFACED Tinted Protection SPF 50+

This Tinted Sunscreen is my number one go-to product that I cannot live without. I have worn this religiously every day for three years. I’ve had many people recommend other sunscreens that I “must try” but not one sunscreen I’ve tried compares to this one. The slight tint is just enough to help smooth any imperfections and give that “no makeup glow.” It’s weightless, mineral-based, and super hydrating. It contains hyaluronic acids which really helps plump my skin. I layer this on top of my skincare routine and before my makeup every day. Makeup layers over it so well. I would say at $50/bottle, this is an amazing value and it lasts much longer than I anticipated. Highly recommend!!

Review: Barefaced Hydrating Lotion

The Barefaced Hydrating Lotion is a little pricey at $115 a bottle. I did try this one time and while it was nice, I’m not sure I can justify spending this much on this bottle regularly. I didn’t notice a huge difference after using it. I’m sure if I was consistent for more than one bottle I may have had different results. But again, it was pricey for the immediate results I got.

I look forward to trying new Barefaced by Jordan Harper and keeping this post updated. I’m really excited to try the Liquid Gold and Brightening Serum as I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about these products.

I also talk more about the Toning Pads and Tinted Protection SPF on my skincare blog and youtube post below.
